Well I'm not saying it wont help. I said it wont have as big of impact as people think. When you have games this generation alone- Selling 8 to 10 million copies that are part of franchises that do not span 3 generations, that is telling you something(4 million not a big deal considering the franchise came from such a huge base)

It does matter. Most of the Playstation fanbase of the past were casuals that go with the flow(trend consumers) and have moved on meaning they'll go where the gaming is good. The GT5 demo would have backed what you said if that were true.
I agree but I'm not going to ignore the fact that was because no other franchise offered the same experience for more than a whole generation. Expect the biggest impact of each game to be related to what market(region) supports what console more this generation. Much of the PlayStation fanbase of the past supports other platforms this generation.

So says the troll doing damage control. Splinter Cell looks better IMO Uncharted has hand drawn looking detail and textures with no interactions with light plus no real bump mapping with cartoony art.
Uncharted looks like somebody grabbed a piece of chalk and went to town. I think people are confusing the *amount* of drawn in detail in Uncharted 2 ignoring the *quality* of it.
